Everybody Knows your Name
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
The troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name
The news is repetitive and exhausting, loud and unrelenting. Access to your clients, your company, your kids’ school, your gym, your favorite restaurant, your barber/hairdresser have been restricted. Seeing fresh smiles have been masked, while political operatives are being ‘unmasked’. Many are considering these actions are over-reaching our freedoms, others want to stay home, in caution and in empathy.
Can’t it get back to normal, to the days when life was less complex, predictable, carefree, less violent, actually just simply fun? Work wasn’t 24/7. FOMO had yet to become a symptom of success. Artificial Intelligence was as rejected as artificial sweeteners.
Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you got
Taking a break from all your worries
It sure would help a lot
Wouldn’t you like to get away?
So how do we accomplish success in these times where challenges are unpredictable, where innovation has a shelf life longer than a gnat’s, where trust and community are not a tagline or brand mantra, but part of the very fabric that holds us all together?
It starts with you knowing your own goals and purposes. It starts with you knowing what’s important may not only be integral to a bottom line, but also to your budget of curiosity and laughter. It starts with you prioritizing neighbors over net worth, when your work is artful, not arduous. It starts when you appreciate the sensation of true self-respect. It starts when you know your name.
You want to go where people know
The people are all the same
You want to go where everybody knows your name
You are always welcome here at Christie & Co. Cheers!
